Peikko’s three EPDs
The environmental performance of products is based on the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). That is, LCAs give an overview of the environmental impact of products. It is easy to evaluate sustainability when you have all the relevant product information in the same format.

EPD – a standardized way of assessment
Peikko’s EPDs are created according to the European standard EN 15804 (Sustainability of construction works. Environmental product declarations) and the international standard ISO 14025 (Environmental labels and declarations).
Life cycle assessment in these EPDs complies with the standards EN 15804 (Sustainability of construction works. Environmental product declarations), EN ISO 14040 (Environmental management. Life cycle assessment. Principles and framework), and EN ISO 14044 (Environmental management. Life cycle assessment. Requirements and guidelines).
Peikko’s EPDs have a third-party verification
Peikko’s EPDs are verified by Bionova Ltd. In their cloud service at www.oneclicklca.com, EPDs can be used as components to evaluate their impact at the building level. For example, the service can demonstrate conformity with LEED v4's Building Life-Cycle Impact Reduction credits or you can complete Mat 01 LCA for BREEAM certification.
And last but not least – the benefits
